About my services & products
All my hair and makeup services start with an initial consultation via email. Once we have discussed what needs to be done we will arrange a trial day which usually lasts around 2 hours. A trial allows us to determine how long you need to get ready on the day, gives us time to change anything about the look so we can get your hair and makeup perfect on the day and discuss bridesmaids looks.
Trials usually take place at my home in my studio space in South East London (Kidbrooke) or I can come to you with a travel fee added on top.
I recommend a trial no more than three months before the wedding day because hair and skin changes over the years and seasons so it is best to do it in the same season. If you are looking to trial out various artists and would like one done sooner we can do that no problem at all.
For your trial please wash and dry your hair the night before with no styling or added products as it makes it easier for me to style. If you need to add hair oils or smoothing creams before drying your hair thats absolutely fine. A blow dry is also fine but no straightening as it effects your hair being able to curl again after - this is important! Bring any hair accessories, veils, hair pieces etc you may wish to use.
Please do have a pinterest board or something similar for me to look at as it helps me to understand your vibe and style and really helps me to have something to work with.
The shape and colours of the dress play a big roll in makeup and hair styles. Sometimes it's a good idea to wear a white t-shirt or a strapless top in the colour of your dress so you can see your hair and makeup against the colouring.
Feel free to bring any makeup with you that you like, maybe you have a specific foundation you like to use or a certain colour pallet you want me to work with. Also if you have any sensitivities or allergies please do let me know in advance and if you have products that work with your sensitivities please bring them so I can use them - better safe than sorry.
Most importantly its best to avoid trying anything too different from your normal look – if you never wear your hair up, or wear a smoky eye then I wouldn't try this out for your wedding as you don't want to feel uncomfortable. I like to create a nice balance of what your used to but more special - its also nice for your partner so still recognise you on the day. I will discuss your day to day makeup routine so I can understand what you are used to and create a special version of that.
All makeup I use is of highest quality; Estee Lauder, Chanel, YSL, Laura Mercier, Hourglass, Nip and Fab, By Terry, Charlotte Tilbury, Becca, Nars, Too Faced, Bobbi Brown.
